What type of volunteer positions are available? To name a few ...
Personal Shoppers: Volunteers are paired up one on one with a child and will escort them through the "store" to "shop" for their shoes, socks, under garments, backpack and uniform shirts. The students appreciate the one on one attention they recieve from our compassionate volunteers.
Sizing Specialists: Volunteers greet each student and complete their measurements for shoes.
Store Clerks: Volunteers will be assigned to a single department to distribute to each student socks, underwear, t-shirts, backpacks, shoes, or snacks.
How do I sign up? We've made it easy!
Why do I have to sign up on-line?
This event has our volunteers working with young children, we require all of our volunteers to have a criminal background check. By signing up online we are able to ensure that all of the volunteers are criminally background checked so that our kids stay safe. Volunteers for this event must be age 13 and older.
What do I need to bring with me on the day of the event?
We will provide coffee, muffins, snacks, soda, water, and lunch for our volunteers. This event could not be successfull without your hard work and support.
Please bring your photo Identification, a cheery disposition and remember to wear comfortable shoes.
What do I do when I get there?
When you arrive at the Event Facility please follow the signs to the volunteer check-in station. You will recieve your volunteer badge, name tag, and assignment.
Badges must be worn at all times. When you leave for the day please return your volunteer badge and sign out at the volunteer station.
We are unable to secure your valuables. Please leave valuables in your car or at home.
